Back to the soil, concerns Adele Elizabeth Martin’s return to the Lincolnshire soil. The piece is part of Adele’s upcoming degree show collection which will be displayed through a narrative of sculptural portraits along with photographs demonstrating the pieces return to the soil. The pieces have connections to the land art movement and Robert Smithson’s text A Sedimentation of the mind: Earth Project. The pieces essentially aim at documenting the personal dilemmas of the artist and her decision on whether to return to horticulture.
